I am writing this post as a part of The 21 Day Momentum Challenge from Paid To Exist. Though I may not blog about every challenge, today’s challenge is to write a micro-manifesto on what I want my purpose to be about. Here it is:
A Chronic Illness Manifesto
Chronic illness does not need to result in a miserable, meaningless life. You *can* feel better, and live with purpose and joy.
Though faith in a higher power, or higher purpose, spiritual practice that brings insight, and reaching out to others who suffer, you can gain perspective on your own suffering and find joy and meaning in life.
Through education on your medical condition, pursuing appropriate medical treatment and alternative treatment, eating healthy food, getting appropriate exercise, and respecting your need for rest, you can improve your physical health.
And through extreme self care and stress management, you can improve your energy levels, and learn to expend that energy on things that bring you purpose and happiness.
Over the coming weeks and months, I intend to write about each little part of the manifesto, sharing my own journey, through trial and error, with persistence and hope, to finding purpose in my own life. That is what this blog, and my new organization, Journey of Hope, are all about.
